Abstract :

A teacher and a student meet and act in a pedagogical situation. It can be natural or created artificially. In the common activity of a teacher and a student two components can be pointed out: teaching and learning. This process develops naturally if these two sides work together and there is a sequence of activity. Recently the emphasis is laid on learning quality and acquired common and subject compe-tence. It is especially talked about constructively understood learning which means such an activity where person’s active role in forming knowledge and working with information values most. Nowadays more attention is paid to teaching and learning in class. Good results are achieved in communication. There is a great variety of methods. There isn’t and the best method for all cas-es. So, various methods are used for different circumstances. The aim of the article is to reveal the use of didactic game method in learning geography terms. Taking part in a game, a student becomes a participant of a situation. He / she may have solutions. Motivation and interest in geography is increasing. Games develop imagination, commu-nication skills and form the strategies of behaviour. While playing students acquire a lot of im-portant knowledge which they never forget because they experience everything themselves.
